When you choose Mountain Travel Mavens, we guide you through our proven 6-step planning process ensuring your mountain getaway is thoughtfully tailored to you and your travel companions—every detail, every adventure, perfectly matched.

In order to create your personalized mountain getaway,
we need to know about you!
Once you reach out, we’ll send a quick questionnaire and schedule a Zoom call to dive into the fun stuff—like who’s coming, how much time you have, and what your dream Colorado day looks like.
Tell us your must-dos (from powder days at Breck to après ski apps and wine), your vibe, your budget, and if you’ve visited before. The more we know, the more epic your custom itinerary will be.
Some things we want to know about you include:
- How many people will be traveling, ages, interests, and anything you think we should know in order to make the best recommendations.
- How much time you have, and whether you have a budget (we’ll work within your budget).
- Describe a perfect day as you envision it on this trip.
- Let us know whether you’ve been to Colorado before. (If so, when did you go and what did you see.).
- We want to know whether you have any must-do activities or experiences that you want to include on this trip. These may be as specific as “Ski at Breckenridge Ski Resort on the least crowded days” or as general as “Apre ski with a glass of wind and some great apps”.

Now it’s time to map out your perfect trip. Based on your feedback and our discovery call, we’ll send you curated recommendations for destinations and experiences we know you’ll love—because we actually live here.
Unlike traditional travel agents, we’re locals who know the mountains inside and out. We’ll build an itinerary that includes your must-do activities, balances adventure with relaxation, and fits your travel style—whether that’s ski days, spa time, or a car-free vacation. You bring the vision. We’ll handle the details.
STEP 3:

Once your itinerary is dialed, we move on to booking the perfect stay. Whether you crave a boutique hotel, a cozy B&B, or a stunning mountain-view vacation home, we’ll match you with accommodations that fit your style, budget, and wishlist—think balconies, spas, gourmet breakfasts, and prime locations.
We’ll guide you through the best options, share insider pros and cons, and handle every detail of the booking. All you have to do is say yes.

With your stay locked in, it’s time to plan the fun. From ski days to ATV rides, we take your trip highlights and turn them into unforgettable experiences—tailored to your pace, preferences, and style.

In Colorado’s high country, getting around isn’t always easy—rideshares are scarce, and ski town buses only go so far. That’s why smart logistics can make or break your trip.
We handle all the details: from booking your rental car to arranging private shuttles or luxury limos, and securing reliable airport transfers. Whether you're chasing powder or heading off the beaten path, we’ll make sure you get there with ease and style.

STEP 6:
Let’s Talk Food!
One of the most anticipated parts of your Colorado vacation is the cuisine—and we totally get it! Many of our clients are excited to talk food from day one, and we love that enthusiasm. While we’re happy to chat about your tastes throughout the planning process, it's good to know that some restaurants don’t accept reservations until closer to your travel dates. We’ll handle the timing for you, so you don’t have to worry.
This is also when we make note of any dietary preferences or allergies—whether you’re gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, or have other needs, we’ve got you covered
We always recommend securing dinner reservations in advance so you’re not stuck searching for a table after a long, adventure-filled day—especially during peak season.
And just before you go…
You’ll receive our signature pre-trip checklist, complete with tips on travel insurance, packing suggestions, and last-minute reminders.
